The Moose Specie!

I learnt that the population of the moose is mostly regulated by the habitat quantity and quality as opposed to other factors such as winter severity and predators. The habitat in question has to be easily accessible, in large quantity as well as of high quality . Moose is more likely to be seen in Northern Europe than Northern America because of the extreme weather conditions and deep snows. The highest percentage (45%) of moose love to feed on subalpine fir. However, Moose like mixed environment (forest) which comprises not only of subalpine fir but also: aspen, birch, willows etc. The moose want a mixture of both hard and soft wood for diversity sake and also a habitat containing burned and unburned forest. The moose desires that the public listens to the general instruction of the leaders and authorities in BC province (such as the Parliamentary Secretary, Chief  Forester and Assistant Deputy Minister),  to ensure their sustainability and continuous (preserve their) existence  as well as maintaining the impact of forestry on existing habitats.

Prior to this presentation, i had little or no knowledge about the moose (and all its qualities) as it is is not very popular where i am coming from. Nevertheless, no knowledge is ever a waste rather a wise man is one who never stops learning but strives to keep being informed and stay informed.

It is not of much relevance to my research area nevertheless i found the presentation very educating and informative.

The speaker did a great job in highlighting the points he gave which shows how much passion he has when it comes to ‘sustaining the existence of the moose’.
